The William Smith Memorial Scholarship Program

The William “Bill” Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the memory of William Smith, longtime BAAMI member and friend.

In April 2017, our Tampa Bay biomedical community lost a longtime member and outstanding Biomed, Mr. William Smith. Bill had worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital Tampa since 2012.
Before that, he completed his field practice in Tampa General Hospital after graduating from the Biomed course from Aparicio-Levy school.  Bill was tirelessly involved in the community by helping at his local church and as an advocate for Special Needs children.

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship assistance to qualified applicants for continuing academic pursuit in the field of biomedical engineering.
