I am employed by Baycare Health System, working at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Worked before for Aramark Clinical Technology Services, at Bayfront Medical Center, a Level IV Trauma Center in St. Petersburg, FL.
After I enlisted in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, I attended the USAMEOS (The “army school”) in Denver CO from MCAS El Toro, CA in 1982 (Basic) and 1985 (Advanced). This career path took me to places like Charleston SC, Yokosuka Japan; a world cruise on the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), Keflavik Iceland, and Pensacola FL. I joined NMD/GE Healthcare in Florence SC, then moved to Florida for various hospital assignments. I’ve had various technical and leadership roles throughout, and have been with Baycare as a BMET III various years.
In my off-time, I attend the USFSP College of Business pursuing my second degree in Finance (first one for FL). I am a member of the American Legion Post 240, and have participated in the Tampa Bay Heartwalk. I enjoy travelling, reading, and playing certain strategy games.
I was an original member of the Gulf Coast Biomedical Society, currently with Bay Area Association for Medical Instrumentation, in the Tampa/St Petersburg/Clearwater area. I truly believe that one should never stop learning, and it’s just as important what you do with what is learned as to how much. I am a certified CBET with ICC since November 2009.
